Wing Chun Boxing – dealing with a Jab / Cross / Hook

Wing Chun Boxing Skills

So I see clips all the time of people showing how Wing Chun would deal with Boxing punches. But the clips are by people that clearly have no clue of the pressure of real fighting. You must train in real time. You can not deal with fast pressure punches if you do not face them.  In training you will get hit, its the only way to learn. You don’t need to take hard punches all the time but they must be fast and be trying to land.

In this clip I show our basic training for dealing with a Jab, Cross and Hook. We have much more than shown, but this clip will give you an insight too our way of developing correct real time timing and distance awareness in live conditions.

  1. i really like the way you express the lop sau without using it on the outer gate punch, reminds me of silk reeling/Chan Si Gong. (4:28)
Also, i like how you actually use the lop sau when you cover from the hook. (5:20)
These subtle layers are the types of things i see that add integrity to my structure, Thanks a lot, very informative video!
