A Deepening of the Process
In this third level course, Sifu Orr takes weighted shadow boxing to a deeper level and really ties the practice to our family’s forms and to an array of our boxing concepts.
With this course he demonstrates how weighted shadow boxing can, and perhaps should, become one of our core solo training practices.
Excellent Michael
Useful striking conditioning
Many moons ago when I trained in a boxing club in Crawley UK, my coach recommended we spent some of our solo training time on hand weighted shadow boxing. This served as a great conditioning tool and variation from bagwork, skipping and roadwork. In some Wing chun lineages this training was frowned upon as they felt it took the emphasis off the elbow and into the wrist..so its a breath of fresh air for me to return to this training mode in my CSL Wing chun solo practice ..the difference being an effective dynamic whole body useage rather than mainly upper body expression
Excellent to hear Paul
