Terms and Conditions

Welcome to the website of Alan Orr Wing Chun Academy (“we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website alanorrwingchunacademy.com (the “Site”) and our services, including classes, events, and memberships (together, the “Services”). By accessing or using our Site or Services, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use our Site or Services.

1) Eligibility

  • You must be at least 16 years old or have parental/guardian consent to participate in classes.

  • By booking or attending classes, you confirm you are physically able to participate and have no health conditions that would make training unsafe.

  • We may request medical or parental clearance for minors or individuals with specific health concerns.

2) Memberships, Bookings & Payments

  • All bookings and memberships are subject to availability.

  • Prices are listed in USD and may change from time to time.

  • Payment must be made in full before attending classes unless otherwise agreed.

  • Cancellations & refunds:

    • Classes: Cancellations must be made 24 hours before start time to receive a credit/refund.

    • Memberships: Refunds are only available as required by law; otherwise, memberships are non-refundable.

  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate a membership for misuse of the facilities, unsafe behaviour, or breach of these Terms.

3) Health, Safety & Liability

  • Martial arts training involves physical contact and carries inherent risks.

  • By participating, you acknowledge these risks and agree to train responsibly.

  • You are responsible for informing instructors of any injuries, medical conditions, or limitations.

  • While we take reasonable precautions, we are not liable for:

    • Personal injuries sustained during training (except where caused by our negligence).

    • Loss or damage to personal property at the academy or during events.

  • You are advised to arrange personal health/accident insurance if needed.

4) Code of Conduct

All students and visitors must:

  • Show respect to instructors and fellow students.

  • Follow class rules and instructor guidance.

  • Refrain from disruptive, unsafe, or abusive behaviour.

  • Use academy facilities and equipment responsibly.

We may refuse entry or remove individuals who breach these standards without refund.

5) Intellectual Property

  • All content on the Site (logos, text, videos, images, training materials) belongs to Alan Orr Wing Chun Academy unless otherwise stated.

  • You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute our materials without written consent. If you are found to be doing this, you will lose your access with no refund.

  • Students may use the training content provided in classes for personal practice only.

6) Website Use

  • You agree not to misuse our Site by attempting to hack, spread malware, or disrupt functionality.

  • We may provide links to third-party websites; we are not responsible for their content or policies.

  • We strive for accuracy, but cannot guarantee all Site information (e.g., schedules, prices) is always up-to-date.

Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that location.
